Activation Metric

When would a user be called a active user, critical event for Shopify will be when the user will start selling the products via the platform


Metric 1 Number of Products added

The number of users who add at least 7 products to their store in the first 10 days. This metric reflects the users' initiation of the essential step in the ecommerce process.


Metric 2 Payment and Shipping method setup

The number of users who successfully integrate a payment gateway and setup the shipping method with their store in the first 15 days indicating progress toward making their store transaction-ready.


Metric 3 Completion of Setup Checklist

Shopify provides a setup checklist for new users. Monitoring the completion rate of this checklist gives insights into how well users navigate and utilize the available features.


Metric 4 Initial Product Sales: The number of users who make their 10 first sale on the platform in 30 days. This metric demonstrates the successful activation of the store for generating revenue.


Metric 5 App Installation:

The number of users who install additional apps from the Shopify App Store to enhance the functionality of their store. This demonstrates users' interest in extending the capabilities of their online business.
